Review Of Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Positioned higher than the P20 Pro, the Pro Mate 20 still carries three Leica cameras behind. But now the latest devices are powered by the new Kirin 980 chipset (P20 Pro supported by Kirin 970).

Compared to 'sister', there are at least 5 main differences between the Mate 20 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. That is located in the design, camera resolution, fingerprint, wireless charge, and battery capacity.

In plain view, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro looks slimmer with a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen and elongated bangs. While the design of the Mate 20 is rather roomy with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen with a water drop format bangs.

The striking difference that you can know right away is the existence of the fingerprint. Mate 20 Pro puts a fingerprint sensor on the screen while the 20 Mate is behind (under the camera).

After knowing the differences between siblings in terms of appearance, let's discuss more about the older brother, Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
The Mate 20 Pro looks beautiful with a curved windshield and rear design as seen on the Galaxy S9 Plus. Both the front and rear panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, which is capable of blocking scratches from blunt objects.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a glass body with a smooth texture on the back that is comfortable to hold. At present the company only provides one color choice in Indonesia, namely Emerald Green, which looks beautiful with a sparkling diamond.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a brilliant 6.39 inch AMOLED screen Quad HD + resolution (3120 × 1400 pixels) with a ratio of 19.5: 9. Bezel-less, the screen-to-body ratio reaches 87.9 percent.

The Power button is very eye-catching thanks to the red color. Perched on the right wing with an elongated volume button.

Nano-SIM card slots and nano-memory are arranged in a stack, located at the base of the cellphone, along with port charge type-C that supports USB on-the-go.

Already supports Dual SIM standby card, but with the Hybrid format so users have to choose between activating SIM-SIM or SIM-memory card.

The smartphone's rear camera looks very striking, the position of the three camera lenses and one LED light are arranged in a square pattern in the upper center complete with the Leica writing above and the Huawei logo at the bottom.

You will not find a fingerprint sensor on the back panel because Mate 20 Pro uses newer fingerprint in display technology.

Not to forget, Mate 20 Pro already has an IP68 certification, which means it can survive in water with a maximum depth of 1 meter and a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

Note: Huawei Mate 20 Pro uses a new type of memory card (not microSD) called Nano-Memory (NM) which is currently still produced by Huawei.
Just like the P20 Pro, Mate 20 Pro also carries three Leica cameras behind. But the formation is different. If the P20 Pro consists of a wide lens, B / W, and telephoto, then the Mate 20 Pro consists of wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto.

The disappearance of the monochrome lens at the Mate 20 Pro turned out to be no problem. Because even without it, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro can photograph brilliantly black and white photos. Even the level of concentration is deeper than the P20 Pro.

Yes, Huawei takes a different approach to the Mate 20 Pro. The trio of Leica lenses implanted are a 40MP f1.8 wide angle lens, 20MP f2.2 ultra wide angle lens and 8MP f2.4 telephoto lens with AI optimization.

Designed for different scenarios, the main RGB lens with 40MP resolution will record sharp details on each photo, while the 8MP telephoto lens focuses on remote photos and Leica Ultra-Wide Angle Lens with a new 20MP resolution is perfect for photographing landscapes and macros .

Thanks to the Ultra Wide lens, smartphones support shooting from extreme wide angles and close to small objects. As well, the Mate 20 Pro camera can produce wider and three-dimensional effects on the photos produced.

In essence, Mate 20 Pro offers a lot of flexibility with wide angle, normal, telephoto, and super macro mode. The ultra-wide angle and macro lenses enhance the camera system on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Not to forget, the smartphone also has an AI Portrait Color mode that can isolate human subjects and disseminate the colors around it to focus on the subject.
The recorded camera menu is very complete. You can find standard features optimized at Mate 20 Pro. Starting from HDR, Monochrome, Panorama, to Bokeh. The four features you can find in many other smartphones.

Many features are provided on the camera menu, but you will need a tripod so that the results are more maximal. In the camera settings "More" there are features of Light Painting, Under Water, Time Lapse, Slow-Mo, and 3D Panorama. Not only that, there are also three luxury features namely Super Macro and Ultra Wide and Zooming modes.

Thanks to macro capabilities, the Mate 20 Pro can shoot at a distance of 2.5 cm from the object. For zooming, Mate 20 Pro is capable of zooming a 3x lens to produce an image equivalent to an 80mm camera lens, a 5x hybrid zoom that is equivalent to a lens
